Terms of service

This website is operated by Tyee Marine & Outdoors, 880 Island Highway, Campbell River, British Columbia, V9W 2C3, Canada. Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Tyee Marine & Outdoors. By visiting this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

Eligibility

You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to purchase from this site. You may not use our products for any unlawful purpose.

Products and pricing

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Taxes are applied at checkout where they apply. We do our best to display colours and product details accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen shows them exactly.

Product availability is drawn from our till and updated daily. Occasionally an item sells in store before the website catches up. If we cannot fill your order we will contact you and refund you in full.

We reserve the right to correct errors in pricing or product information, and to cancel an order arising from such an error, including after the order has been submitted. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

Counter-tariff surcharge

Since 8 September 2026 Canada has applied counter-tariffs to some goods made in the United States. A small number of products on this website are U.S.-made and in a category on Canada's counter-tariff list. When you order one of them and we do not have it on our shelves, we add a counter-tariff surcharge at that list's rate (25% or 50%), applied to our price. The product page shows the rate and the amount, and the surcharge shows as its own line in your cart, so you see it before you pay. Units we have on our shelves carry no surcharge. Taxes apply to the surcharge as they do to the product. If you return the product, the surcharge on it is refunded with it.

Orders

We may refuse or cancel any order. If we do, we will tell you why and refund any payment taken.

Some products are restricted. Some items are pickup only and cannot be shipped. They are listed in our Shipping Policy. To buy a firearm, or a magazine marked "Firearms licence required", use "Request to buy" on its product page. We verify your firearms licence before the item is shipped or released, and payment for it is by Interac e-Transfer. Ammunition is reserved online, then paid for and collected in store. It is not shipped.

Returns

Returns are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, photographs and layout, belongs to Tyee Marine & Outdoors or to the brands whose products we sell, and may not be reproduced without permission.

Third party links

Some content and links on this site come from third parties. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any site we link to.

Limitation of liability

Fishing, hunting, boating and the outdoors carry inherent risk. You are responsible for using equipment safely, for wearing appropriate flotation, and for holding the licences and permits your activity requires.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any product or from your use of this site is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law of British Columbia.

Privacy

Personal information you give us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute will be dealt with in the courts of British Columbia.
