Amundson TMX5 Special Edition

The Amundson TMX5 Special Edition is a mooching reel built around a seven-layer carbon-ceramic drag in place of the usual single-layer cork. Amundson rates the drag at 38 lb maximum and says the layered design is about four times as strong as a single cork disc and does away with the line creep cork drags are known for. The body, spool and handles are fully CNC-machined aluminium. Compared with the standard reel, the paddle handles have more grip surface, the drag knob is larger and taller, and the spool has extra porting to help the line dry. It comes in gold or blue.
